Terri Neighbors
Founder/President
Hey there! I'm Terri and I reside in Bloomfield with my husband Josh of 22 years and my daughter, Emily who is currently attending college to obtain her teaching degree. I, along with some friends, founded Erin's Purpose after the loss of my 13yr old daughter, Erin in April 2018 to suicide. It wasn't until her passing that I realized just how important mental health is and how easy mental illness can go unnoticed. Aside from my full-time job and volunteering with this wonderful team here at Erin's Purpose, I enjoy reading, camping, and spending time with my family and friends!
Hey! I'm Cris and I live in Bloomfield with my husband, Mike. We have two children; Noah (who is going to school for Forestry) and Emma (who is going to school for Teaching), and one granddaughter; Maevis. I'm proud to be a part of Erin's Purpose as I have seen first hand the effects mental health has on people's lives and I know the need for a place to reach out to. When I'm not working; either at the REC center at Crane or with all things Erin's Purpose, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, hiking and gardening!
Hello, my name is Jessica. I am employed full-time and have been married to my husband, Kyle, for almost 23 years. We have three children - Ben (age 21), Jacob (age 18), and Caleb (age 18). My family and I live close to Solsberry - which is the Eastern Greene School District. I have always been aware of mental health issues based on experiences with family and friends however it wasn’t until Erin’s passing that I quickly realized how it is affecting young people more and more each day. In addition to volunteering with the Erin’s Purpose team, I enjoy helping with church activities and spending time with family and friends. I also enjoy watching sports of all age levels whether it is my nieces’ in elementary or kids in high school that I have watched grow up.
John Preston
Christian Counselor/ Life Coach
John has lived in Bloomfield with his wife, Shelly for the past 21 years. Suicide by several close family members and friends along with his own past with addiction recovery drew John to want to help at Erin's Purpose. He holds BS in Biblical Studies and has years of pastoral (Christian) counseling experience. He also is near completing a master's degree in Life Coaching. John's hobbies include golfing, spending time with family, and serving on missions and retreat teams.
Leroy Barnhill
Prayer Warrior
Leroy is married to his best friend, Pam and has two grown children. He can often be found at the Erin's Purpose house with his furry companion, Rusty. Leroy does everything from yard work and praying over the house to hosting a men's bible study there. We are proud to have Leroy as part of our team.
Emma Floyd
Newsletter Editor
Hey everyone! I'm Emma and I have taken over as the newsletter writer. I live in Bloomfield with my family and have a daughter, Maevis, who was born in June of 2022. I am currently attending VU to become a teacher. I love reading, spending time with family, hiking and all things animals. I grew up with Emily and Erin, so Erin's Purpose means a lot to me and I'm so thankful I get to be a part of it.
Vickie Vermillion
Founder/Social Media Marketing
As Erin's Aunt, Erin's Purpose is personal for me. It's important to me to honor her memory by helping and loving others. I'm also a Greene County native and feel a close connection to the community. Erin's Purpose has and will continue to change lives, and I am proud to be a part of that.
